Biodiversity
We have planted several endemic and endangered species, otherwise found only in Barda Wildlife Sanctuary, in our mining premises.
Water Conservation
Our mined-out areas are used for rainwater storage, catering to the power plant needs, water sprinkling, watering plants, supply to nearby villagers, and recharging the ground water table.
Composting
We have maintained large-scale composting pits at both plants in order to support environmentally conscious operations
Sewage Treatment Plant
We have established a fully operational sewage treatment plant within our factory premises to responsibly manage wastewater and reduce our ecological footprint. This initiative helps recycle and reuse water, contributing to water conservation and cleaner surroundings.
Anti-Plastic
All SCL campuses are committed to being plastic-responsible zones. We've significantly reduced the use of single-use plastics across our operations and actively promote sustainable alternatives- reinforcing our dedication to a cleaner workplace and a healthier planet
Anti-Radiation
To ensure a safe and healthy environment, we discourage the installation of mobile towers within and around our premises. This proactive measure is part of our commitment to minimizing radiation exposure for both employees and the local community
